Guarantee declaration
The guarantor of this guarantee is Briefkasten Manufaktur Lippe GmbH, Werler Straße 60, 32105 Bad Salzuflen, hereinafter referred to as the manufacturer.
The territorial scope of this guarantee is the Federal Republic of Germany.
The consumer has statutory rights in the event of defects. The utilisation of the statutory rights of the consumer in the event of defects is free of charge. These rights are not restricted by this guarantee.
This guarantee applies to letterboxes, letterbox systems, doorbells, house numbers, outdoor lights, waste systems and bicycle parking systems of the brand Briefkasten Manufaktur Lippe, which were purchased from the manufacturer on its website www.briefkasten-manufaktur.de.
1. five-year guarantee against defects in material and workmanship
The manufacturer guarantees the end customer (hereinafter referred to as the "customer") in accordance with the following provisions that the product delivered to the customer in Germany is free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of five years from delivery to the customer. In the event of defects in material or workmanship, the manufacturer shall, at its own discretion and at its own expense, remedy such defects by repair or delivery of new or refurbished parts. Replaced parts become the property of the manufacturer.
2. ten-year guarantee against rusting through of the product
In addition, the manufacturer grants the end customer a warranty against rust-through of the product for a period of ten years from the date of delivery to the customer in accordance with the following provisions. In the event of a warranty claim, the manufacturer shall, at its own discretion, rectify the defect at its own expense by repairing or supplying new or reconditioned parts. Replaced parts become the property of the manufacturer.
3 Exclusion of the guarantee
Claims under this warranty are only valid if
- the product does not exhibit any damage or signs of wear and tear caused by use that deviates from the manufacturer's normal purpose and specifications,
- the product does not exhibit any characteristics that indicate repairs or other interventions by workshops not authorised by the manufacturer,
- only accessories authorised by the manufacturer have been installed in the product
Claims under this warranty do not apply
- in the event of corrosion damage caused by rust film,
- damage to aluminium parts caused by direct contact with plaster, lime, cement, etc,
- damage caused by mechanical influences (in particular vandalism),
- if the care and use instructions provided by the manufacturer have not been observed or if installations on or with the product have been carried out incorrectly.
- for built-in products from other manufacturers (e.g. for integrated video systems, wireless doorbells, etc.).
- for wearing parts such as light sources
4. claiming under the guarantee
In the event of a warranty claim, please contact us by e-mail (info@bml-gmbh.com) or by post to the address given above. Please provide us with the invoice or order number as well as a description and picture of the defect.
In the event of a warranty claim, we will send you a return label for a product that can be sent by parcel post, which you can use to send the goods to us. If the product cannot be sent by parcel post, we will arrange for it to be collected by a forwarding agent in consultation with you.
The repaired product or the delivery of new or refurbished parts will be sent to you at our expense.
Further claims by the customer are not covered by this guarantee.
