This version of the is equipped with an integrated Wifi system. After installing the system and the free app for your smartphone (Apple iOS or Android), you can connect the two in just a few very simple steps. This also requires a one-off registration with the Comelit cloud. You can then access your indoor intercom from anywhere in the world. The image and sound are transmitted smoothly and in high quality. Both communication and opening the front door or gateway are possible via the app. The app also allows you to manage the video intercom system and other advanced functions via the 3G network or higher networks.

With the 6742W door station and the Comelit app, you can simulate a domestic presence, no matter where you are. If a neighbour, postman or stranger rings the doorbell, you answer the door call with your smartphone or tablet and give the visitor at the door the feeling that you are at home, even if you convince them with an excuse that you cannot come to the door at the moment (we are bathing the children; I am expecting visitors and am changing my clothes; I have just got out of the shower...). When a door call is made, it is sent from the Mini WiFi indoor intercom to the Comelit Cloud via the WiFi router and forwarded to the smartphone or tablet (a 3G / LTE data connection is required). Due to the unique technology of IP technology in conjunction with a WiFi monitor, the time delay for reception in the 3G network on the mobile device is only approx. 5 seconds. The mobile device opens the app even when it is closed: the push function makes this possible.
